Events
Our biggest event of the year is the Annual Motorcycle Ride, held the 2nd Saturday in October. Not only does this event bring in the funds we need to help local women and their families, it also raises awareness for this disease which is so crucial in the fight to end cancer. We held our first Motorcycle Run in 2009 and each year since it has grown in ways we could have only dreamed of. All of the funds raised through this event go toward helping breast cancer patients and their families. The next "Think Pink in October" Motorcycle Ride is being planned right now. For more info, visit our "Think Pink in October" Website. »
In February, Unity Outreach hosts an annual women’s conference with guest speakers and fellowship time to provide breast cancer survivors, patients and all women with a place to form new bonds and an understanding that you do not have to fight your battles alone. Our Annual Conference is held 1st Friday and Saturday in February. This retreat is not only for those who have face breast cancer but for all women.
One of the biggest obstacles to winning the breast cancer battle is spreading awareness throughout our community about the ways in which you can prevent this disease. Our annual Hat and Tea Party, held every year in May, is an opportunity for men and women in St. Johns County to learn more about the common misconceptions about breast cancer and the steps you can take to save a life with early detection.
